Some of our designs are based on actual events!

  • New York Aquarium

The "Bedstuy Aquarium" started in August 2024, when residents created a makeshift fishpond from a leaky fire hydrant, in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. It quickly went viral for bringing the community together; people would take turns watching over the fish and feeding them. The city eventually fixed the hydrant, and filled the pond with concrete, killing the fish.

  • La Rata

10 years ago, Pizza Rat became an internet meme, based on a viral video of a rat carrying a slice of pizza down the steps of a New York City Subway station in Manhattan. #pizzarat

  • Ratro 4's

Much like Pizza Rat, we found inspiration from a reel, from a couple of years ago. This event has definitely been an occurrence in a lot of New Yorker’s lives, which makes this shirt such a great talking point, when we’re selling at the pop ups. People love to know they’re not alone.

  • Trev & Kopi

Inspired by our actual cat children, Trevathon (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes) and Kuchi Kopi (Bob’s Burgers). We rescued them last year, when their mom abandoned them in a family friend’s garage. They were only 4 weeks old.
